    • Isabelle Obray: Welcome!
  • New USU partnership: USU Teacher Academy
    • We currently have 3 USU students in the teacher academy. They started with the teacher contract a few weeks before school. The goal is for them to see all the ins and outs of teaching and have the chance to get paid as an aid for part of their time. The other time they spend at the school will be to fulfill practicum hours.
  • Beginning of Year data : slideshow
    • Adams Elementary will increase the number of ELL students who got a 5 or higher on the 2022-2023 WIDA test by three students. Our Goal is for 5 students to score a 5 or higher.
    • Adams Elementary will increase the number of students scoring composite above benchmark (blue) on Acadience from BOY to EOY by 2% higher than the previous year. Our Goal is Blue Composite to increase by 21% = 62 students
    • During our Data Discussion with our teachers about our DIBELS test results (on 10/11/23), each instructional team analyzed the DIBELS test results and identified students who showed the potential for moving into the "blue" category, signifying performance above the benchmark in reading. Remember our goal to get 80% of our kids into the "blue" category by the end of the year, which means moving 62 kids into blue. The teachers teamed up to figure out which students could get there with some extra help.
    • Our teachers identified 67 students who, with some focused help, could make it into the "blue" category. It's a big win for our teachers and shows their commitment to our students.
    • Right now, we're at 59% in the "blue" category at the beginning of the year. We're determined to hit that 80% mark by the end of the school year. I'm confident we can do it with our teachers' hard work and your support.
  • Adams values:
Growth Mindset: Foster a belief that abilities can be developed through effort and perseverance, encouraging students and staff to embrace challenges and pursue continuous improvement.

Collaboration: Promote a culture of teamwork and cooperation, where students and staff work together to achieve common goals and support each other's learning and growth.

Equity and Inclusion: Ensure that all students have equal access to opportunities and resources, valuing and respecting the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of students and staff.
Empowerment: Empower students to take ownership of their learning, develop their own thoughts and ideas, and build confidence in expressing their voices in the world.

Excellence:Strive for academic excellence by setting high expectations for student achievement and providing rigorous and essential learning experiences that challenge and inspire students to reach their full potential.

These core values serve as guiding principles for both the school and the Coalition team, informing their decisions, actions, and initiatives in order to fulfill the mission and vision of Adams Elementary.
