• As a committee, we discussed the Prepare School LAND Trust Plan for the 2026-27 school year. The following is a summary of the proposed plan:

Adams Elementary’s 2026–27 School Land Trust Plan is focused on increasing reading achievement, with a goal of having 70% of students score above benchmark on the Acadience Reading Composite Assessment by the end of the school year, slightly above the school’s seven-year average of 68%. To reach this goal, the school will regularly review benchmark and progress-monitoring data, involve students in setting reading goals, and hold ongoing teacher collaboration meetings with the principal and instructional coach to adjust instruction. The plan also includes using Chromebooks and digital programs to support targeted literacy skills, providing small-group reading interventions through instructional assistants, offering professional learning and peer observation opportunities for teachers, and having the leadership team meet in the summer to strengthen implementation. The $76,766.52 in Land Trust funds will primarily support instructional assistants, along with technology programs, leadership planning, peer observation substitutes, and professional development materials, all aimed at improving reading instruction and student outcomes.
